There’s nothing quite like stepping away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and retreating to an intimate and orderly bedroom for quality relaxation. Part of a contemporary home in the Australian city of Perth, this comfortable and cocooning sleep space offers the homeowners just that.
Full of soothing textures, soft earth tones, warm wood accents and immaculately upholstered pieces, it blends many of our latest designs with long-standing silhouettes. Let’s start with the principal sleep space, which revolves around our brand-new SPLIT bed, a design that draws the eye to a perfectly upholstered headboard that’s finished with vertical seams to emphasise its height. This design is further emphasised by the contrasting wood-panelled wall and symmetrically accessorised with our new HVAR bedside tables, which possess a quietly luxurious artisanal beauty, sculptural TRIESTE table lamps, which celebrate the beauty of a cut-glass bulb, and two-tone UBUD stools, simple cubic volumes embellished with brushed-brass seams. A sumptuous PARATY rug is then incorporated to delineate this zone and add an extra dose of texture while also ensuring that when the homeowners wake, the first thing their feet touch a plush surface.
Orbiting around this primary space are a couple of satellite areas, each of which is dedicated to secondary functions such as dressing, reading or writing. Nearby, for example, a three-drawer KENT chest of drawers overhung with a striking OSAKA mirror provides storage and a dressing area, while a customised COPENHAGEN armchair and JUNEAU floor lamp, two brand-new designs with retro-futuristic vibes, plus a handy AVILA side table provide a cosy relaxation spot for reading or making phone calls. While in another corner, a chic HVAR desk (which coordinates with the bedside tables), velvet-upholstered MISOOL chair and shade-free ASPEN table lamp, provide a versatile workspace.
The result is a multifunctional bedroom that prioritises a good night’s sleep but will also help you start and end your day the right way.
