Our latest concept takes us on a journey to south-eastern France to this beautifully restored mas (farmhouse) in the enchanting village of Lourmarin, nestled in the heart of Provence. Here, we discover a stylish lounge that puts a fresh, contemporary spin on traditional country living by counterbalancing generous, low-level furniture pieces with a sophisticated colour scheme and a luxurious palette of materials.
The undoubted star of the show is the modular MILAN sofa, which is made up of distinct, deep-seated sections that welcome quiet solo lounging after a day spent outdoors as well as gatherings of friends and family for special occasions. Offsetting the clean lines of the sofa and enhancing your lounging experience are a series of curvilinear designs that include the smartly tailored LUCERNE armchair, substantial PRAGUE coffee table and two-volume ARENDAL side table, all of which can be easily and endlessly rearranged should you wish to switch things up.
Providing essential spatial structure and indispensable storage are the elegantly utilitarian SALAMANCA tall cabinet and versatile BERGEN TV unit, while the lighting scheme, which includes the crown-like PETRA ceiling lamp, tear-drop shaped SAINT MORRITZ wall lamps and poised MAUI II table lamp, adds ornamentation as well as illumination.
All of these individual pieces are pulled together with a timeless and visually soothing colour scheme that ranges from taupe to cream, all anchored with elements of dark wood and highlights of brushed brass. The final flourish? A measure of characterful organic pattern, introduced via the large, sumptuous and soft HALONG rug and sofa cushions.
