Visual Rhythm and Intimate Zones
When it comes to design, grand spaces such as this, that are intended to accommodate groups of all sizes, can quite quickly feel overwhelming, the desired sense of elegance and warmth easily lost to scale and functionality.
The first way we sought to avoid this was by selecting and adhering to a soothing and sophisticated palette of cream and sage green, adding intervals of dark and light woods and highlights of shimmering brushed brass.
The same furniture designs are also arranged on repeat, creating a visual rhythm and more intimate zones within the room’s larger footprint. Notice how the Art Deco-inspired ROCKHAMPTON sofa, 16-shade VIENNA ceiling lamp, generous LIVORNO coffee table and abstract OTTERLO rug are used numerous times, adding coherency to the layered design. The tasteful AGRA and PARMA stools are then dotted throughout, adding space-saving occasional seating and a more convivial vibe.
