This week, we’re at work in Fairmont, Philadelphia, where we’re taking a closer look at the art of the office.

Whether you’re working from home or have an out-of-home workplace, the office is a multifunctional area. Not just for working hard, it should be a space for contemplation, creativity and decompressing, too. All whilst being functional and stylish, of course. Let’s take a closer look at how to achieve just that.

Diversity is key. Whether you’re clashing colours, textures or pieces of furniture, creating variation will set your space apart. Here, we’ve contrasted our MISOOL Stool and MISOOL Armchair in two different finishes. We’ve also combined inspiration from around the globe with our SEOUL II Desk and our CHAMONIX Table Lamp. Using a soft colour palette of grey and beige, with pops of yellow, it’s a calming space that inspires focus.

A breakout area is key in any office. Here, we’ve added our HIDDEN HILLS Sofa and PARMA Stool to create an area that’s inviting to unwind in after a meeting. Finished with the PAROS Coffee Table, there’s a chance to add personality, too.

Finally, when it comes to lighting, we’ve kept things soft. Our JUNO Floor Lamp and CHAMONIX Table Lamp add a soft glow come evening. Adding a slight industrial touch, our DURHAM Ceiling Lamp creates a focal point over in the breakout area, too.
